Wd9:This is the name of the output directory into which all your processed images and web pages will be produced.
Wd8:Drag this icon into a filer window in order to set the destination directory into which all your processed images and web pages will be produced.
Wd11/Wd12:Click SELECT to toggle whether or not to create web pages or just process the images. If this option is on, WebGallery will effectively act as a simple ChangeFSI batch converter for images.
Wd13:You can set the maximum size of the output images in your web gallery here. This is the size that Web Gallery will automatically rescale your original photos to, before putting the resized copies in your destination directory.
Wd15:Click MENU to select a number of preset image sizes. Most common sizes can be selected from this convenient menu.
Wd17/Wd18:Click MENU to determine whether or not WebGallery will rename your original files. It can either leave the filenames alone or convert to all lowercase or all uppercase letters.
Wd23/Wd24:Click SELECT to produce an HTML table only. This is the best option to use if you only want to produce a handy table of images for manually cutting and pasting into an existing web page.
Wd21/Wd22:Click SELECT to toggle whether or not the destination directory will be wiped or left alone when processing your output files. If on, files will simply be added (or overwritten) in the output directory and it won't be wiped first.
Wd20:This is the name that all the individual photo image HTML pages will be called, followed by the number of the image (set to the right). For instance to call your files photo01, photo02 etc., enter 'photo'.
Wd25:Set the number of digits for numeric numbering of output pages. Simply enter the number of 0s for the length you require. eg. For output page01, page02, page03 etc., enter 00. For output page001, page002, page003 etc., enter 000.
Wd26/Wd27:Click MENU to set the suffix of files produced. The default is to name each file .html, but other suffixes are also available.
Wd28:If an 'E' appears here it means that you've dragged a directory holding SHIFT down, which means that the 'Existing' dirlisting file will be used - to avoid resetting the order of images.
Wd29:Click SELECT to open the directory containing the source images.
Wd30:Click SELECT to open the directory containing the destination pages/images.
We3:The number of thumbnails to position across the page.
We5:The maximum number of rows of thumbnails to put on each page. If you exceed this, multiple index pages will be created automatically.
We6:Click SELECT to decrease the number of rows per page.
We7:Click SELECT to increase the number of rows per page.
We8:Click SELECT to decrease the number of thumbnails across the page.
We9:Click SELECT to increase the number of thumbnails across the page.
We11:The spacing (in pixels) between each thumbnail image.

We17:The font size to display labels/captions in. You can select all valid HTML font sizes from 1 to 7. If you set to zero, WebGallery will include stylesheet code for the wg_caption style.
We18:Click SELECT to make the font size smaller. Switches to css mode if you go below 1.
We19:Click SELECT to make the font size bigger, up to a maximum of 7.
We20/We21:Click SELECT to set whether you want a thin black border around each image. This is different to the frames (below) and merely sets the HTML attribute "border=1".
We23:Sets the maximum size of each thumbnail image. The default is 150 pixels.
We26/We27:Click SELECT to enable a frame around each image. This option only works if you're not using a web template - otherwise any effects are defined by your template.
We29:The frame size around the thumbnail images on the index page(s).
We30:Click SELECT to decrease the frame size around the thumbnail images on the index page(s).
We31:Click SELECT to increase the frame size around the thumbnail images on the index page(s).
We33:The HTML RGB value of the frame/border colour.
We34/We35:Click SELECT to display the filenames along with each image.
We36/We37:Click SELECT to display the file sizes along with each image.
We38:Click SELECT to determine where you want labels positioned, if you add labels.
We40:Click SELECT to open a colour selector window from which you can select the colour of the frame around the images.
We41:The frame size around the actual images in the gallery.
We42:Click SELECT to decrease the frame size around the main images.
We44:Click SELECT to increase the frame size around the main images.
We45:Click SELECT if you want to use the thumbnails contained within the EXIF data for each photo. This will only work if such data is available. If you've resaved the images, it may be lost.
We46:Click SELECT to re-scan all the images in your source directory and recreate any relevant thumbnails from any contained EXIF data.
We47:This is the approximate width of the final table (in pixels) allowing for all the borders and image spacings selected.
Wf2/Wf3:Click SELECT to create an HTML page for each image. If on, a new HTML page will be created for each image in the gallery, all hyperlinked between each other, so you can navigate forwards and backwards through your gallery.
Wf4/Wf5:Click SELECT to open each new image in a new browser window. Toggling this option on will make clicking on each thumbnail open the relevant image in a new target window.
Wf6/Wf7:Click SELECT to use a web template for the resulting output files. This powerful feature allows you to define your own template into which WebGallery will substitute various values, based on the substitutions defined below.
Wf8/Wf9:Click MENU to choose from a range of preset templates available. You can add your own by reading the instructions in the printed manual.
Wf13:Substitute the text defined here for -DDD- in the web template.
Wf15:Substitute the text defined here for -EEE- in the web template.
Wf17:Substitute the text defined here for -FFF- in the web template.
Wf21:Click SELECT to open the preset templates directory.

Wg2:A thumbnail of the current image. Click on image to refresh the thumbnail (useful to redisplay after you've processed independently with !JClean or !JCut etc.
Wg4:Click SELECT to view the next image.
Wg5:Click SELECT to view the previous image.
Wg6:The full filename of the current image.
Wg7:The first line of the caption to go with this image. This line will also be displayed on the thumbnail index page too.
Wg8:The second line of the caption to go with this image. This line will only be displayed on the main image gallery page and NOT the thumbnail index page.
Wg9:The third line of the caption to go with this image. This line will only be displayed on the main image gallery page and NOT the thumbnail index page.
Wg10:The fourth line of the caption to go with this image. This line will only be displayed on the main image gallery page and NOT the thumbnail index page.
Wg11:The current image out of however many images there are in your source directory.
Wg13:Click SELECT to open a miniature representation of your resulting index page. Clicking this can take a little while as WebGallery has to generate thumbnails of every image in your source directory, but this can be used to rearrange images.
Wg14:Click SELECT to open the -webgallery directory. This is where captions and your listing of files to be processed is stored.
Wg15:The size of the current image. This is the size of the original image, not the size that Web Gallery will resize it to when you click Process. The size of the resulting images is set in the 'Files' panel.
Wg16:A 'no caption' warning. Red if captions are not going to be displayed. Orange if only on index page (no HTML page output) or green if everything ok. \Sjump to the offending panel to correct anything.
Wg17:Click SELECT to edit the caption in your current text editor application.
Wg18:Click SELECT/ADJUST to rotate the current image.
Wg19:Click SELECT to view the current image, full sized in your current image viewing application.
Wg21:Click SELECT to DELETE the source image. This is dangerous and cannot be reversed, but is provided to ease tidying source directories.
Wg22:Click SELECT to toggle whether or not to use the EXIF thumbnail for this image, or to re-generate a thumbnail from the large image, using ChangeFSI (which is possibly better quality).
Wg23:The fifth line of the caption to go with this image. This line will only be displayed on the main image gallery page and NOT the thumbnail index page.
Wh2/Wh3:Click SELECT to expand the dynamic range used by ChangeFSI to process your images.
Wh4/Wh5:Click SELECT to tell ChangeFSI to sharpen the images whilst processing.
Wh6:If sharpening images, this is where you can set the value of the sharpening mask.
Wh7/Wh8:Click SELECT to tell ChangeFSI to smooth the images whilst processing.
Wh9/Wh10:Click SELECT to tell ChangeFSI to add gamma correction to each image whilst processing.
Wh11:If smoothing images, this is where you can set the value of the smoothing mask.
Wh12:The value of the gamma correction (if enabled). The larger above 1.0 this value, the brighter the image, whereas the lower below 1.0 the darker the images. 1.0 is unchanged.
Wh14:This value sets the overall quality or compression ratio of the resulting JPEG images produced by WebGallery. The higher this value, the better quality images will be produced but with bigger filesizes.
Wh15/Wh16:Click SELECT to tell ChangeFSI to invert the colour palette when processing your images. This will result in each image being displayed in negative.
Wh17/Wh18:Click SELECT to tell ChangeFSI to lock the aspect ratio when resizing images. If on, this means that images won't be squashed or stretched whilst resizing them to the required size.
Wh19/Wh20:Click SELECT to tells ChangeFSI not to dither the graphics when resizing images. This will result in slightly faster processing, but the resulting images might not be such high quality.
Wh21/Wh22:Click SELECT to enable 'Fast' mode for ChangeFSI processing. In reality this doesn't make much difference, but was included for testing purposes. Best to leave turned off!
Wh25:The filepath to the copy of ChangeFSI you're currently using. This might be handy to confirm which copy of ChangeFSI you're using - if you have multiple copies on your computer.
Wi3:Enter the text to use as the link from each image back to the previous image.
Wi5:Enter the text to use as the link from each image to go forward to the next image.
Wi7:Enter the text to use as the link from each image back to the main index page.
Wi9:Enter the text to use as the link to the previous index page, if more than one index page is produced.
Wi11:Enter the text to use as the link to the next index page, if more than one index page is produced.
Wi12/Wi13:Click SELECT to use graphical icons instead of textual links for gallery pages. You can choose from several styles by clicking the box on the right, or you can design your own.
Wi14:Click SELECT to select the style of icons to use for page links. Clicking 'Adjust' will reverse the direction.
Wi16:Enter the text to use as a page title here.
Wi18:Enter the text to use as a page heading here (slighly less prominent than the title).
Wi20:Enter some text to use as a copyright message at the bottom of every page.
Wi22/Wi23:Click MENU to select from a range of positions for your graphical navigation icons. You can choose from Top, Sides, Bottom or Top and Bottom.
Wi24:Click SELECT to toggle whether or not a copyright logo should be added to your gallery pages.
Wi26:Click SELECT to generate an auto-slideshow whereby each image in the gallery will automatically move to the next image, via appropriate meta-refresh tags inserted into the relevant HTML.
Wi27/Wi28:Enter the relevant time delay (in seconds) between each slide, when running in auto-slideshow mode.
Wi29:Enter the base URL of your web gallery here. This is required for the auto-slideshow facility (above) and should be the full URL to where your web gallery will be stored.
Wj3:You can enter the name of a profile here. If it's unique, your current choices will be saved with the name you enter. You can define up to 200 different profiles, but feel free to contact me if this is still not enough.
Wj4:Click MENU to select one of the previously saved profiles. All existing settings will be overwritten and all the settings saved in the new profile will be loaded.
Wj5:Click SELECT to load (or reload) the profile named above. This is handy if you mess up some settings and wish to cancel any changes and reload an existing or previously saved profile.
Wj6:Click SELECT to save (or resave) all current settings and preferences, as the profile named above. You can store up to 200 different profiles, which are all saved in WebGallery's Profiles directory.
Wj9:Click SELECT to reset all values to their original default values. You will be asked for confirmation if clicking on this button, as it will reset everything back to the 'factory' settings.
Wj10:Click SELECT to open the Profiles directory. For reference, as you *really* shouldn't edit profiles manually!
Wj11/Wj12:Click SELECT to the profile inside your web template directory. This can help keep your choices with any relevant template but can become confusing if you are using the same template for multiple profiles.
Wj15/Wj16:Click SELECT to use a dedicated -webgallery location. Toggle this option on if you wish to change the default location of the -webgallery directory which holds the captions and image file listing for the images being processed.
Wj17:The file path of the location of the -webgallery directories. With a bit of tweaking you can store multiple -webdirectory folders, for your different image galleries. More info is included in the printed manual.
Wj18/Wj19:Click SELECT to turn on 'Debug' mode. You should only ever need to turn this on under instructions from Paul, for testing/debugging purposes.
Wj20:Click SELECT to open the debug log file. Again, you shouldn't require this during normal use.
Wk3:Enter a selection of keywords to include in the page meta tags. These can help your site rate higher on internet search engines such as Google or Yahoo.
Wk5:Enter a description for your web gallery here. This will be inserted in the description meta tag on each page.
Wk7:You can add a custom meta tag here. This is the 'name' declaration.

Wk21/Wk22:Click SELECT to toggle the No-Index meta tag. If on, search engines will be informed NOT to index your pages.
