RISC User Desktop Dustbin
by David Spencer

The RISC User Desktop Dustbin allows objects to be deleted by dragging them
to the dustbin icon on the iconbar. Rather than the objects being deleted
immediately, they are copied to a safe place and the bin icon bulges to show
that it is full. The bin can then be emptied by choosing the 'Empty' option
from the iconbar menu. Files can be retreived by clicking on the dustbin
icon to show its contents, and then dragging files out as needed.

An added feature is that if Ctrl is held down when a file is dragged into
the Dustbin, the file is deleted but not placed in the Dustbin, i.e. the
file is jettisoned. A bug has also been fixed that caused the Dustbin to
crash on rare occasions when large message blocks were passed between
applications.

If you are using floppy discs only then it is wise to copy the Dustbin to
RAM disc and run it from there, as this reduces disc swaps and speeds up the
Dustbin's operation considerably.
