About !UUDecode, version 1.11
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Originally written by the Pop Mobility Freak, and slightly improved by
Philip Colmer (so that it coped with old-style uuencoded files), this
application allows you to do uudecoding from the desktop. Simply drag the
uuencoded file (or the first one if there are several making up one
end-file) on to the !UUDecode icon and a save dialogue box will appear. Drag
this to where you want the end-file to be created.
Note that !UUDecode has one extension over standard uuencoding, namely that
if the line
Filetype: <ft>
appears, where <ft> is either a number or a filetype name, then the end-file
is given that filetype. This is used by SIDInfo to good measure!
Change list:
Version 1.11   Fixed a bug in the "no table" case. Now has a default table
               built in, rather than code to try and get around the problem.
               Difficulty is knowing whether or not the default table is
               right!
               Fixed a bug/infelicity whereby fullstops in the supplied
               filename should be munged into underscores.
Version 1.10   First released to SID, after some work done to the original
               as supplied by PMF.
