                  Documentation for UndgnD Ver 6.14
                  ---------------------------------

!UndGnD is a multi-tasking desktop programme which allows you to travel
around the LT UndergrounD network without leaving the RISC-OS desktop.

To start the programme, double-click on the application to install
the programme on the icon bar, open the application directory and
double-click on the 'UndTT' file 'Nov1989TT'. The outline of the icon
should fill-in in black and the filename appear below it (and in the
Info box). A detailed timetable is held in a data file in a sub-directory
Resources and, if present, allows a view of the detailed timetable to
be opened.

The programme will work in a memory slot of 28Mbytes, so will run
on VRPC, Risc PC and requires at least RISC OS 3.50. Where more memory
is available, up to 55Mbytes is used. A disk cache is used to speed
up access to the timetable data.

The programme includes an exact simulation of the timetable at the end
of 1989 and a very close simulation of the walking time from platform
to platform. The idea is to visit every station during the course of a
day in the shortest time. The itinerary of a journey can be saved and
printed. A timetable of trains at a particular location can be
displayed in a window at any time as a menu option.

The itinary of a journey may be saved, and loaded, as a csv file. Loading
a journey itinary will fast forward through the itinary as it loads, doing
the whole journey in about 15 seconds, displaying the station name and
the platform display at each location. This can be slowed down by holding
down the SHIFT key. A detailed itinary may also be generated in HTML
format. Follow the interactive Help messages for more information.
