QUStp:This stops the shutdown so that Slayer can continue it's scanning.
QUShu:This stops the scan, and continues with the shutdown.
QUWin:This window appears when you try to shutdown while a scan is in progess.|MIf you click 'Stop Shutdown' it will finnish the scan.  If you click 'Shutdown' it will stop it's scan, and shutdown.

FPFig:Drag this icon to where you want to create the finger prints database.  It's default filename is PrintsFile, but you can change this using the text box below it.

PPane:This is the preferences pane - it allows you to customise Slayer to suit you.

CLogGen:`o will create a log file on disc when it starts a scan.
CLogLod:`o will automatically load the log it has generated when it has finished scanning.
CKepLog:`o will keep the log it has generated.|MIf it is not selected then it will delete the log (having loaded it first if neccessary).
CLogFil:This is the destination for the log file.|MSlayer will save the log file to that location.
CLogSav:Drag this icon to the directory where you wish to keep the log file.
CLogArc:`o will keep copies of all log files inside the !SlayRes application.
CLogExp:`o will automatically expire logs after the delay set to the right.|MThis only applies to logs that have been archived to SlayRes.|MThis is useful to save disc space.
CLogLif:This is the number of days that logs will be archived for.|MAfter this amount of time the old logs will be deleted.
CLogInt:`o will generate a copy of the log file internally.|MThis allows you to view the log file while the scan is in progress.|MThe log does not need to be saved to disc for this to work.
CLogEN:This will run the log expirer now, using the new expiry delay.
CLogBuff:`o will buffer log file information.|MThis can speed up scanning by reducing the frequency of disc access needed to the log file.
CLogBufSiz:This is the size of log buffer that will be used (in bytes).|MThere must be enough free memory to hold the buffer.
CLogGen:This window allows you to alter logging related options.

CConf:`o will ask you to confirm virus removals.
CFast:`o will not update the search window as often.|MThis will make it run faster but will slow the rest of the computer down while it is scanning.
CDismount:`o will dismount ADFS floppy drives after it has scanned them.
CSingleTask:If this option is selected the Slayer will single task while scanning.  This can speed up the scanning, and makes it more secure.
CArcfs:`o will attempt to search inside Arc/Spark FS archives.|MTo do this requires a copy of ArcFS or SparkFS.
CPCpart:`o will scan inside PC Partitions.|MThis is almost pointless as Slayer is not setup to find PC viruses, and Acorn viruses are unlikely to exist inside a PC Partition.
CHScan:`o will heuristically scan !Boot and !Run files.|MThis will produce a list of suspicious commands inside the log file.|MThis can help detect otherwise unknown viruses.
CClosOK:`o will automatically close OK boxes after 10 seconds.|MThis is useful if Slayer is set up to automatically scan, as it will prevent the scan from being held up.
CXFil:`o will attempt to search inside X-Files Images.|MTo do this requires a copy of the X-Files module.

CPDelete:`o will try to prevent either the user or software deleting Slayer or Killer.
CAltBreak:`o will try to prevent the use of the 'Alt-Break' Watchdog.
CScanTask:`o will scan the memory for viruses every time a new task loads.
CChaperon:If this option is selected the Slayer will use various means to protect it's self for deletion and infection.|MThis does however increase Slayer's processor usage.
CHidOps:`o will block access to sensitive options, and not allow you to quit it without authorisation.|MThis will be either a password (below) or the CTRL key if no password is entered.
CPass:This is the password that will be used to reveal the full menu if it is hidden.|MIf no password is entered then holding down the CTRL key will reveal the full menu.
CPass2:This is the second copy of the password.|MIt should be the same as the password above.|MIt is used to confirm that the user entered the correct password as the password itself is hidden.

SCStrtGen:This window allows you to alter startup related options.

CHERepLog:If this option is selected then any errors produced during a scan will be reported in the scan log file.
CHEOKBep:If this option is selected the OK Boxes will produce an audible 'Beep'.|MThis mimics the 'Beep' created by an error box.
CHEAutClos:If this option is selected then any OK Boxes opened will be automatically closed after the delay specified below.
CHEACDel:This is the delay after which message boxes will be automatically closed if that option is selected.
