Hello All!

Just wish to advise that GnomeVille (Un Named,
Cobra and Dark Skies BBS's) has
changed to 938-2128.

Sorry to all my regular's for the late notification, but due to a hard drive
failure the system was down so I could not put up a bulletin.

Hi Nicolaas...

I can lend you a SCSI A4 flatbed scanner for a couple of weeks if you
like. With controller & software. All you'll need is a PC with Windows
7 a spare ISA slot.....

Much more fun than just getting one photo scanned....

** TIME FOR A BREAK **
** **
** Yup, It's time for a break for the BBS for a while. **
** **
** At the moment, I have other things I want to do, and cannot afford to **
** keep the BBS running as I need to drop one line from this house, at least **
** until I find a suitable flatmate (if interested, will be about $70/week, **
** contact me on ICQ 20525890 - my e-mail is about to change so ICQ is the **
** only real way to contact me). **
** **
** But the BBS will be back when I am able to afford it. Hopefully it'll be **
** down for a few months at most. **
** **
** I intend to have everything fixed, working and updated by the time the **
** system is re-started. **
** **
** The date of this closure will be the 23rd June, 5 years to the day after **
** the system first opened. **
** **
** Thanks to all the users who have made this system possible, and thanks **
** for the time spent on it. **
** **
** It is not easy dropping a part of my life I have kept going for 5 years, **
** which is probably why the machine will be maintained and data kept in **
** operation. **
** **
** Also, it may not happen, but dreams are free :-( **
** **
** 13-10-99 **
** **
** SYSTEM PROBLEMS - NEED HELP FIXING **
** **
** The system still has a number of problems, some due to a necessary change **
** of com port (where I haven't found all the little things that need **
** changing), others due to files lost by the recent HDD problems. **
** **
** If you find something not working, could you please either Yell for me **
** (assuming that I have the chat thingy working properly) or leave me a **
** comment letting me know what (as specifically as possible) is broken. **

Note :

This system has a large number of message areas available. Searching them all
would, of course, take a relatively long time. We suggest that you go to the
Message Menu, and Tag any areas that interest you. Then select option #1 (the
default) from this menu in future. That way, you'll greatly reduce the time
needed to search for new messages to you. Be sure to tag Local.Private and
Local.Comments so you can be reached by other users/SysOp's wanting to send you
private messages!
