RoughTime 2.03 (01-Jan-1992)
============================

 Jon Ribbens, 1992

This program is public domain, so you can copy it around as much as you like,
as long as you include all the files and you don't alter any of them.

Instructions
------------

Double-click on the icon to load it, it will pop up a window near the icon
bar... It says the time to the nearest five minutes. To move the window
about, treat the entire window as if it were its own title bar - click select
on it to bring it to the front, drag adjust to move it, and drag select to
bring it to the front and move it.

I know it's like IshClock, but I prefer this as it looks nicer and takes
up less screen space and less memory.

This version is a complete rewrite since the first released one. It is now
entirely written in assembler - the !RunImage file is now only 1400 bytes
long!. This means it will only use 8k on a 1Meg machine. It has lost the X
icon, and gained a menu. It now uses PollIdle so that it's a lot faster. (I
noticed this while writing Lifeguard, the effects slow down horribly with the
old version of RoughTime.)
It now also doesn't use Interface; there's only one icon anyway, so I felt
that it was rather pointless using a general-purpose module. This means that
this version effectively uses about 4k less memory unless you use other
programs with Interface. It should also mean the redraw is faster, but only
by a couple of microseconds (if that) so you won't notice any difference.
I think I may have forgotten to include the Interface module with the old
version anyway; sorry about that.

Watch out for Lifeguard, an utterly brilliant screen-saver that is now out.
It's sort of like AfterDark on the PC, with lots of nice effects (fish,
fireworks, stars, snowflakes ...). It's now on release at a Bulletin Board or
PD company near you (or quite far away, it all depends on where you live
really).
