 Help for !RipAudio

Running !RipAudio puts an icon on the icon-bar.

The program extracts (rips) tracks off audio CDs and converts them to

RAW/CDTrack, WAV, FLAC or MP3 (via Shine or Lame) files.

(Note on MP3: 'Shine' is quite fast but quality is fairly low.
'Lame' is higher quality but is about 3 times slower.)

Clicking <Menu> on the Iconbar presents you with the 5 conversion types,
along with the usual options, including Open/Close the CD drawer (which
are self-explanatory) and 'Scan new CD'.
'Scan new CD' needs to be clicked only when a new, different CD has been
inserted. After a few seconds (to initialize the CD) click <Select> to
display the new 'Track selection' window.

Clicking <Select> on the iconbar icon brings up a 'Track selection' window.
This displays all the available audio tracks and each tracks' duration.

 What to do:

 (1) First click <Menu> on the Iconbar and select the conversion type.

 (2) Click <Select> on the iconbar. This will open the 'Track selection'
window. Use <Select> to choose the tracks you wish to rip.

Note: <Select> in fact toggles each track selection 'On/Off'.
<Adjust> clears the whole track list (all Off).
<Shift> + <Adjust> selects all the tracks to 'On'.

Then click the bottom (green) icon to open a 'Save Box' window.

 (3) Finally, from the open 'Save Box' window, you can drag the
RAW, WAV, FLAC or MP3 icon to a suitable destination folder.

The conversion will then begin automatically and (all) the track(s)
will be saved as separate files - with names such as 'Track 08 F' etc.

  Note: "R" (RAW), "W" (WAV), "F" (FLAC), "S" (Shine) or "L" (Lame)
is added on to the end of the track number.

During the ripping process a window will open displaying the progress
of the track-count and also the name of the current track being ripped.

 That's it!
