!Pluto an email and newsgroup reader for the RISC OS operating system.

This has been compiled with compiler options which should be suitable for
ARMv7 processors such as Raspberry Pi and Beagleboard.

EMAIL FETCHER
=============

It needs an email transport to fetch and send email messages.

PopStar is available from www.heenan.me.uk/acorn/download.html. This need
the separate download of Socketwatch from that site because the PopStar
download contains an old version.

NewHound is news fetcher from the same site.

INSTALLING
==========

If you are installing Pluto for the first time (i.e. not upgrading
from a previous version):

Copy the !Pluto application onto your harddrive.

Then copy the !Pluto application directory from the "InstallNew"
directory on the floppy disc on top of the first !Pluto on your
harddrive.

Double-click on the !ModInst application. This will ensure that
there is a copy of the MimeMap module installed in
System:Modules.Network.

UPGRADING
=========
NOTE: If you upgrading from an earlier version of Pluto, do NOT
     overwrite your
        !Pluto.Choices.Sources
        !Pluto.Choices.Categories
     files with a new copy. You MUST use your previous Sources and
     Categories files.

     And of course, if you overwrite your !Pluto.Articles file, you will
     loose any stored articles.

To upgrade from a previous version of Pluto, copy the !Pluto application
from the Pluto floppy disc onto the !Pluto application on your harddrive.
Do this while Pluto is NOT running.

The !Pluto application in the floppy disc does not contain the Choices
and Articles directories, so will not overwrite your existing data.

If you are using RISC_OS earlier than version 5.01, double-click on the
!ModInst application. This will ensure that there is a copy of the MimeMap
module installed in System:Modules.Network. RISC_OS 5 already includes MimeMap.
