The Acorn Office archive that you have downloaded contains a single program to start with, called !Welcome. You will only find you are missing something later on... (Well that paragraph was a lot of help then...)

 Instillation...
This couldn't be simpler if you use the !Welcome program. Just follow the on screen prompts to install a new copy or upgrade an earlier copy of Office onto your hard disc. You could even, if you're feeling adventurous, install it into your boot sequence (RPC users only). Then it will be loaded upon startup of your computer. (Note that !Welcome places !Office in the !Boot.Choices.Tasks directory within your boot application.)

 The defaults...
When you first load Office you will be greeted with a small shortcut bar in the top right hand corner of the screen.
All that there is at the moment are buttons directing you to things to do with the Office application. You may like to drag some applications or files to the bar and see what happens or you may like to open the directory (the button with a directory icon, strangely enough) containing the configuration files. If you then drag one of these files to the icon bar icon, you'll find out what happens... Wow!

Now this is a difficult one! All you have to do is point and click with Select to run the application of you choice. Don't forget to reread this section if, at first, it seems unclear :)

 Adding apps...
When you click Menu on the shortcut bar there is a submenu leading to the Save as window. When you get there the current path of the configuration file that you are currently using is in the writable icon. So, if you just want to update that file, just press Save. Otherwise change the pathname and drag the icon to a directory viewer.

Because you can change the name of the file in the Save window (see above) making Office a multiple user affair is easy.

 Swaping files...
The logical offshot of being able to save multiple files is to have the ability of loading multiple files. To do this just drag an Office file to the icon bar icon and the bar will automaticaly change to the new configuration. To swap back again, or to a different (you can load up to 10 at any one time) config file select the Swap to submenu on the Icon bar menu.
