!Bible supports Acorn's interactive Help system for additional help whilst
using the program.

To open the main application window, click 'select' on the !Bible icon on
the icon bar. To move around the text, click 'select' on the relevant left
and right arrow icons. To change book, press 'menu' over the name of the
book and select the required book from the menu.

Text and graphics can be saved to disc (or other applications) by use of
standard Acorn 'save boxes'. See the Archimedes user guide for more help on
the use of these.

The BOOKSHELF
=============
Please note that the graphical bookshelf picture is only shown if you are
using a multi-scan graphics mode such as 21 or 28. If you are running the
application in mode 15, you will get a standard menu containing the books
available.

SEARCHES
========
A search can be carried out on up to five different words. Click on the
'search' icon and type in the words you want to search for. Click 'START
SEARCH' to activate the search. You may find that some of the numbers shown
do not match the exact number of occurances found. This is because, the
occurance of each individual word is shown in the search status window, but
when the computer has finished it's search, only those unique verses or
chapters which contain ALL the words searched for are shown. For example,
if you search for the word "THE" you may find that many hundred are detected
but only 5 or 6 are shown. This is because only 5 or 6 DIFFERENT verses or
chapters contain the word.

BOOKMARKS
=========
As you cannot save anything to the original CD, when you select SAVE or LOAD
from the bookmark menu, the computer will default to looking in the current
directory. This and other options can be set within the Config file of the
application. More information regarding directories can be gained from the
Acorn user guide. Please ensure that the disc is WRITE-ENABLED.
