A CR-LF TextFile. A textfile that has had all/
the [0A]s replaced with [0D]s, or in English/
now has Carridge Return (CR) and Line Feed/
(LF) instead of just one of the two.%

A Unix Soft link. From the TCP/IP suite, this/
is an "unresolvable Unix soft link". I hope/
that means something to someone, 'cos it/
means bog all to me.%

A Master Utilities file.%

FDE//
A VT220 Setup file. From the TCP/IP suite,/
this is a setup file for a particular type/
of terminal (The VT220).%

FDF//
A VT220 Script. From the TCP/IP suite, this/
is a command script for a particular type of/
terminal (the VT220).%

A Desktop accessory.%

An Acorn Desktop Development Environment/

enables you to customise how Desktop starts.%

in this file will be executed.%

A template file. These are templates for the/
windows used in desktop applications. They/
can be created using Acorn's FormEd, which is/
PD.%

A saved palette setting. If double clicked/
upon the palette will return to the saved/
colours.%

A notepad file. Notepad was an application/
that existed under Arthur, but was ditched/
for Risc OS. It allowed you to make brief/
notes.%

A Diary file. Diary existed under Arthur, but/
was ditched for Risc OS, but Risc User/
published a Risc OS version.%

A Tag Image File Format (TIFF) file. Yet/
another picture format, this one a widely/
used standard. Images of this type can be/
displayed using Translator.%

A Raw unprocessed data file, says the PRM./
Used by Tracker to save the pattern data/
without the sample data.%

A Saved set of CMOS RAM configurations.%

A LaserJet data file. A document printed to a/
file by PrinterLJ.%

A Dot Matrix printout file. This can be sent/
to the printer at any time, to get a copy of/
