				Help for DosExt V0.01
				---------------------

DosExt can add/remove/modify DOS extensions to filenames.
Hopefully it can do a bit more than existing implementations.

Clicking SELECT on the iconbar icon will show a small dialogue box, to which
you can drag selections of files for renaming. Dragging them to the iconbar
icon also has the same effect as dragging to the dialogue.

DOS extension
-------------
Specify the extension to be added - you do not need to include a leading '/'.
If you null the string in the writable icon, then existing extensions will be
removed, providing that "Replace non-matching extns." is set.
It does not matter what case you use for 'typed-in' extensions as the case to
be used is specified separately.
Take care if you have pre-RiscOS 4 with the 10-character limit, as the full
extension will not be added if the total length exceeds this.

Case
----
Specify case, upper or lower, of the new extension to be added.

Replace non-matching extns.
---------------------------
If unset, any existing extensions will be left unmodified - only files with no
extension whatsoever will be renamed.

				---------------------

The iconbar/dialogue menu allows you to edit the list of available extensions.
Add any new ones in either case, each on a separate line with a final carriage
return at the end of the file.
Available extensions always appear in upper case in the stringset menu.

It also allows you to view this help file.
