BuTeX - version 0.52, 05-Nov-2004 - The Flying Pig

Note: this program requires !ButtonBar to run. To obtain this, please visit
my website: <http://www.flypig.co.uk>

I'm afraid this isn't a proper help file, as I don't have time right now to
write a proper one; sorry. If you can't get the program to work or aren't
sure what it's supposed to do, then please feel free to contact me by email.
See the bottom of this help file for my email address.

In future I hope to write a StrongHelp file for LaTeX containing a
description of all of the major LaTeX commands. If anyone would find this
useful then please let me know, as it will act as an incentive for me to
create it.

This program provides several button bars for Zap which allow the easy
inputting of various LaTeX symbols. To use it, just double click on the
program and a new button bar will become attached to Zap's window.
Interactive help is supported, so this - along with clicking on the buttons -
is probably the best way to find out what each button does. Double click on
the program again to remove the button bars.

The prgram assumes that you usually have the Zap button bar loaded from your
Choices:Boot.Tasks directory. If this is not the case then it shouldn't
matter, but if you have the Zap bar loaded from elsewhere you may have to
remove it manually. Alternatively you can edit the 'Apply' and 'Restore' obey
files to point to the correct location.

If you want to have a button for compiling your LaTeX document, simply place
the obey file 'SetTeXRoot' into the directory of the tex file to be compiled
and double click on it. Then, when you load BuTeX a new button will appear at
the bottom allowing the file to be compiled.

Finally, if you get fed up with the LaTeX buttons, you can remove the button
bar (from the button bar menu) and load up the 'Zap' button bar supplied to
replace it.
