 HELP for !BackPics

!BackPics is a program to display and control screen backdrops.
Double click on !BackPics+ to start the program and install it on the
  iconbar.

It can display Sprites, 'Squash'ed Sprites or JPEG picture files (or any
mixture thereof). It will ignore any other filetype.

The !Run file found within !Backdrops holds certain default parameters
which the user can change to his/her preference - viz
          (A) the default directory of pictures,
          (B) the default time delay,
          (C) the default 'type' (scaled, centered or tiled backdrops)

Dragging any directory/application onto the iconbar icon will display
picture files (if any) contained therein (but excludes files called
  !Sprites).

 ICONBAR Icon:

 a) <Select> click - brings up the main window (see below).

 b) <Menu> click - brings up a Menu window

'Shuffle?' - toggles off/on whether the set of pictures are to be displayed
in the order stored in their parent directory OR they are shuffled first.
(Note: this is a genuine permutation and NOT just choosing pictures at
random i.e pictures are not repeated until the whole set has been
     displayed.)

'Pause?' - toggles on/off whether the display sequence pauses at the
current picture or continues as normal i.e untick restarts the sequence.

'Nudge+1' displays the next picture in the sequence, over-riding the delay-
time but still respecting the current 'Pause' state.

'Nudge-1' displays the previous picture in the sequence, over-riding the
delay-time but still respecting the current 'Pause' state.

'FULL Screen' displays a full screen display (rather than a backdrop to the
desktop). Click mouse <Menu> to revert to the desktop.

'Info' and 'Quit' are the usual options, and 'Help' gives this help guide.

 c) <Adjust> click - immediately displays the next picture in the sequence
i.e it over-rides the delay time. IF <Shift> is pressed as well then it
will display the previous picture in the sequence.
This is useful if you have a long delay time or Pause is ON. Thus you can
single-step (forwards or backwards) through the picture set.

 MAIN Window:

 a) Delay - set your own delay time (max = 100 hrs)

 b) Backdrop - choose Scaled, Centered or Tiled backdrops.

 c) 'Hide Windows' button - click on this to hide all windows. You can then
use !BackPics as a kind of slideshow/carousel picture display utility.
Clicking <Select> on the iconbar icon will bring back the !BackPics main
window from which you can recall/restore all the hidden windows (press
<Select> on the 'Recall Windows' button).

 d) 'Pause' button - will pause the display sequence at the current picture.
Press the 'Play' button to restart the sequence.

 e) 'Stop' button - will pause the display sequence and clear the current
backdrop. Press the 'Play' button to restart.

 f) 'Play' button - will switch the display sequence back on (at the 'next'
picture), using the current delay time between pictures.

 g) 'FULL Screen' displays a full screen display (rather than a backdrop to
the desktop). Click mouse <Menu> to revert to the desktop.

 h) '- Nudge +' displays the previous/next picture in the sequence, over-riding
the delay-time but still respecting the current 'Pause' state.

 FULL Screen:

When in 'FULL Screen' mode the following keys can be used -

 a) <Space> toggles 'Pause' on/off.

 b) 'Right-arrow' or mouse <Adjust> displays the next picture, over-riding
the delay-time but still respecting the current 'Pause' state.

 c) 'Left-arrow' or mouse <Select> displays the previous picture, over-riding
the delay-time but still respecting the current 'Pause' state.

 d) <F> toggles full-screen size (='Scaled') / normal size (='Centered').

 e) The keyboard number keys <1>,...,<9> change the delay to 1,...,9 seconds.
However when returning to the Desktop the delay will be restored to the
value shown in the Main window.

 f) Mouse <Menu> or <Escape> reverts to the Desktop.

 Enjoyo!
