                       Installation Instructions
                       ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Installing the AMPlayer module
------------------------------
1. The modules are provided in the form of an update to !System which can
   be merged with your existing system resource. These instructions assume
   you are using the Universal Boot, if not, install that first.
2. Run !Configure.
3. Click on the System icon, and drop the new !System onto the window
   which opens to merge the new modules.
   For RISC OS 3 the merge will happen straight away.
   For RISC OS 4 and later, you can review the changes which are about to
   be made by clicking on 'Agenda', then click 'Merge' to proceed and install.
Installing the !AMPlayer front end
----------------------------------
1. Before you do anything else, make sure you have installed the module
   by following the instructions above.
2. Copy !AMPlayer to whereever you want it to live on your harddisc
   ($.Apps on your boot drive seems like a good place to us).
3. Enjoy!
Using the AmpApp command line tools
-----------------------------------
1. First, select the version of AMPApp appropriate to your machine.
   If you have a StrongARM powered RISC OS machine, then use
   AmpApp. If you have an ARM7500FE based RISC OS machine, then
   use AmpAppFP. Otherwise use AmpApp6.
2. Copy the version you chose in step one to somewhere on your
   Run$Path. Your library directory may well be a good choice
   for this. For people with a modern boot sequence this means
   !Boot.Library.
3. Now you should be able to invoke the executable from the
   command line. Running it with no parameters will give you a
   breakdown of the command line options.
4. Good luck!
